Have a romantic valentine’s day.Imagine you have just won 21.1 million on SuperEnalotto this week and you’re clueless of how you should start spending your winnings. How about start booking a special dinner at some of the best restaurants in the world? Have a look below at a list we have prepared just for you:
Sirocco– Bangkok, Thailand
Its sounds: the live jazz band and audible gasps as guests emerge from the dome and catch a first glimpse of the view. “Wow.” We hear that a lot.
Its smells and tastes also tend to elicit appreciative gasps: authentic Mediterranean cuisine cooked to perfection by Chef Romain Dupeyre. It’s so perfect, in fact, that the food, wine, ambiance and service all received a perfect ten from Thailand Tatler.
Take a Mediterranean voyage without moving from your seat, and experience flavors from Mykonos, Nice, Rome, Barcelona, Tunis and Beirut, all imaginatively interpreted by Chef Romain. For the full taste experience, make sure to add our sommeliers’ recommended pairings.
An evening at Sirocco has become so iconic—so synonymous with Bangkok fine dining—that it might surprise you to hear that it almost didn’t happen.
When lebua was getting its start, we were told by many that a rooftop restaurant where Sirocco now sits was a bad idea. There was no view. Believing in our vision for the world’s highest alfresco restaurant, we used 100 tons of steel to elevate the floor, ultimately creating one of Bangkok’s finest views and most celebrated dining experiences.
Finally, how about the sense of touch? How does a night at Sirocco feel on the skin? It’s a pleasant balmy breeze—none of the hot stickiness you might find 63 floors below. Or, maybe, goosebumps. Not from chill, but from the whole experience—a little bit of moonlit magic. But don’t take our word for it. Like we said, it’s something you need to experience for yourself.

Ali Barbours Cave Restaurant – Diani Beach, Kenya
George & Jackie Barbour decided some 30 years ago to convert the cave into this unique restaurant. All is exactly as discovered except the chamber housing the kitchen and lavatories. In the restaurant only the stone floor has been added together with furniture and fittings, lighting and sound effects. The natural holes in the roof crust are open to the sky, protected in bad weather with sliding covers. A triangular makuti umbrella (threaded palm leaves) soars over the cocktail bar and reception area supported by a single blue gum pole over 50 feet high (nearly 20 meters) which came from the family farm in Kitale.
Ali Barbour’s Cave is thought to be between 120,000 and 180,000 years old. Situated about 30km south of Mombasa and 200m back from the high water mark, it comprises a series of interlinking chambers at depths of up to 10m below ground level. The natural holes in the cave ceiling are open to the sky and seating is under the stars creating an intimate and elegant atmosphere. The cuisine is typically international, specializing in seafood. Ali Barbour’s Cave Restaurant is truly a unique dining experience.
Sydney Tower Buffet– Sydney, Australia
Lofted above the metropolitan skyline atop the 1,014-foot (309-meter) Sydney Tower, the Sydney Tower Buffet is one of the Southern Hemisphere’s highest revolving restaurants. Soak in 360-degree views of nearby landmarks such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, and (on a clear day) the Blue Mountains while enjoying lunch or dinner as the restaurant slowly rotates high above the city.
Fangweng – Yichang, China
Fangweng Restaurant is located in China, in Hubei Province, about 12km north of the city of Yichang, near Sanyou Cave, or “The Cave of the Three Travelers”. The restaurant is in the Happy Valley of the Xiling Gorge, an especially scenic stretch of cliffs, caves and park land located around the area where the Chang Jiang River flows into the Yangtze. The entrance to the Fangweng Restaurant is an uninspiring grey brick building, but at the far end of a narrow concrete bridge, the restaurant caves into the cliff, the floor hanging several hundred feet above the ground. From this end, customers can view the flowing water of Yangtze River. For the daredevils, a bungee jumping platform is nearby.
